The government has submitted an initiative to Parliament stating that any pension, state compensation, or social assistance overpaid up to November 1, 2025 will be considered legally granted and will no longer be subject to repayment. Additionally, all ongoing administrative or enforcement proceedings regarding the recovery of these overpaid amounts will be terminated.

According to the government, the basis for suspending pension, compensation, or assistance may include circumstances such as a person starting work in the public sector, a final court judgment against the beneficiary, death, and other similar grounds.

The explanatory note attached to the draft law states that overpayments often occur due to delays in receiving necessary information under current regulations, which results in benefits being issued in excess.
